Shades of Matcha | GISHIKI + Uncle Paul's

$99.00

Join us for a collaboration with GISHIKI :::

Friday, May 22nd: 6:30pm-9pm

Paint your own chawan. Uncle Paul’s will provide chawans, underglaze, and tools to decorate them. For all levels, beginners welcome.

At this special workshop at Uncle Paul's Ceramics in North Beach, we will be serving a menu of matcha and hojicha drinks. We want to demonstrate the ritual of our brand by sharing the process and whisking one drink at a time. Whether you choose to paint your chawan (traditional Japanese bowl used to prepare and drink matcha) for yourself or someone else, it is the perfect opportunity to learn about the history and ritual behind it all. We are so excited to partner with Uncle Paul's Ceramics to curate a pop-up that welcomes people of all backgrounds and stories over the same little joys.

Come alone, bring a friend, or simply come to have a sweet time!

At GISHIKI, we believe in the power of small rituals. In our busy lives, even a few quiet minutes can make all the difference. For us, that moment is found in making matcha - sifting, whisking, and sipping with intention. Our matcha is sourced from JAS-certified organic farms in Kagoshima, Japan. Our tea is made using rare cultivators like Asanoka and Sakimidori, prized for their natural sweetness and low astringency. It feels unreal how our brand has moved from Japan to New York and now San Francisco in just a couple years.

Pricing includes instruction and materials.

Class registrations are considered final ONE WEEK before the start of class. If you need to make a change please email us at least a week in advance.
