What is a chair? Something to hold your butt. But does it have to? In this one day sculptural chair making workshop with Mayetta, you will stretch the definition of “chair” to its limits. Think tiny thrones, wobbly loungers, butt pedestals, or seats that no sane person would ever sit on. Mayetta will guide you through handbuilding techniques like slab building and coil building while you dream up your own weird and wonderful chair. Students will walk away with a ceramic chair up to 12" tall, perfect for action figures, houseplants, or just to confuse your guests!
Pricing includes instruction and materials.
